I had an eb 150 watter 2x10 and i used a mag 1x15 ext cab. It was a *Holy Censor, Batman* good amp and sounded pretty sweet and was perfect for rock. However now come the bad things.
Its only 150 watts, this thing can just about compete with a 60 watt valve guitar amp and a loud drummer but thats pushing it real hard and its distorting real bad. You can get away with it for a bit but it will break soooner or later if you play it loud as mine did.
The output rectifier went and cost me £45 to fix. To be honnest you need 300+ watts to manage a gig properly, you dont need it all for volume sometimes if you are running through the pa but for headroom so the solid state amp isnt distorting.
I really liked the ashdown sound but get a mag combo, i know they're more expensive but you wont have to pay out later.
I wanted a tube amp and the cost of getting an ashdown tube was well out of my league so I went with hartke even if I wasnt all that keen on the sound.
Hope this helps
