I'm looking to buy a new bass and I think my sights are locked on the Highway 1. It's American and cheaper than the Mexican Deluxe model. Any of you ever play/own one? |

| Yes! In my opinion, they're very nice instruments and a great value. Let me know if you get one and how you like it! |

I just got one. I dropped the strings about 1.5 mm and really like the action. The price was $630 from Same Day Music. I used to play a Gibson EBO. The Highway 1 plays better and I like the sound better. It is a bit top heavy, but I am getting used to it. I am thinking of replacing the roundwound strings with flat wounds. |

U bought a highway 1 p bass and am very happy with it. It is a 3 tone sunburst so i put a totise shell pickguard on it. And later added a seymor duncan quarter ponder pickup.... it is a very nice bass that i have enjoed for almost a tear! I also invested in a hardshell case, I think it sounds as good if not better then a regular american standard p bass. Hope this helps someone out. I have about 800.00 in it including skb case |

I bought one about 2 months ago and love it.
The neck is to die for. I put Labella Flats on her and wow what tone. Don't be fooled by the price, it's a fine sounding bass. Was thinking about changing the pick-ups but decided the ones in it are just fine. Big Bottom, that what a P-Bass. _________________ 1975 Fender Jazz
