Man have I got some *Holy Cow Pud, Batman* to tell you all. I am trying to sell my american delux pbass. I posted an ad on a local website for selling instraments and stuff called www.stlmusic.com. In the post I put down that I was asking $800 for the bass. I get an email from a guy saying that he is interested and that he would give me $900 and take care of shipping for the bass. (yes $900...strange...) I thought, hell may as well make an extra $100...why not? So I write the guy back telling him since we are both in St. Louis why not skip the shipping crap and just arrange a pickup. He writes back saying that he is out of the country and would arrange for one of his "clients" to give me a cashiers check for 5000$(???)
and that I would take 900$ out of it and send him the rest. I thought right away that he was blowing smoke up my *Horse's Patoot* so I wrote him back saying that unless he wants to buy the bass for $5000 not to send a check for that amount and that 10 days after the check clears I would send the bass. He never wrote back....figures.
No it doesn't end there...1 day later I get another email from a guy who is interested in the bass. This guy seemed honest by the way his letter sounded. So I wrote back and gave him pictures and all. He writes back telling me to ship the bass. I again say screw the shipping and lets arrange for a pick up. He writes back saying that he is in *Golly Gee* Belgium and that he would arrange for one of his "clients" to give me a cashiers check for $800. I wrote back and asked him if he would like my bank account and maybe my other basses and while I'm at it I have a dog, a house, a truck and even a few tools he might like to have. I then thanked him for being a fare and honest man. Of course the dingly berry never wrote back. Very....very odd weekend. I just had to get that out as a warning. It turns out that some jerk offs will offer you a deal like this then sind a cashiers check that looks real and will even cash like normal, but isn't a real check in which case you will owe the bank that much money. If you all want to spam the pricks feel free.

Well handled.
Well handled indeed...

| What a scumbag. The world is full of evil people. I run a seminar on how to avoid scams and fraud. For more information, just send me a check for 5,000 dollars and your Social Security No. I promise that, if we work together, we'll never get screwed over again! Take that, you con artists! |

| Aww, c'mon, the Nigerians are our friends! I read somewhere that it's in the top five most profitable businesses there, online scamming is. At least they could change the formula a bit, be an original crook. |

You know it is funny...The last email I got was a guy from France who had a "client" in Nigeria who wanted the bass. _________________ Sometimes we ride on your horses
