I was thinkin' about getting this to help me practice. It sounds pretty good, has lots of features, and is only $150. What do you think?

I would jump on that deal. I am thinking of getting a mini disc recorder for the same purpose.

To me that looks like $150 for something you can do on a pc (or laptop if you want to be portable)?????

I presume that you do have a pc as you are on this website Laughing

I have the cd bt 1 it is really cool but if it breaks Tascam will tell yo to take a flying leap, they are know as one of the worst for custmer service, my unit is still broke but oh well , the unit is nice really nice the navigation sucks they should have put a seperate enter button instead of having it on e back of the direwctional pad .
I would recommend the unit just get an extra warranty from where you buy it.

I have one, and the advantage of using it over your computer is that you can change the speed of the track, or change the key, or both. You can also boost or cut the bass frequency of the track . It's a pretty good practice tool. It keeps me from having to tune my bass down for the SRV and Hendrix songs I play. Being able to slow the song down helps with those fast riffs. I just gradually bring them up to full speed. Hope that helps.
