I agree, Gibsons are a gift from God, but I have played some super sweet vintage Jazz basses and p basses.

I really don't have much of a beef with epiphone. Here and there I will play a good one.

whoa, rufie! you hit my weak spot...modern (or semi-modern) gibson basses...but ,correct me if im wrong, I belive it was the Thunderbird in 87 or 88 that first carried the TB plus pups...

I've got another. What was the neck like on the original Thunderbird? (Bolt-on, Neck-thru, etc...) How many pieces? ( 3-piece neck, 4 bolts, etc...)
