Sorry for the newbie stuff, but....
I've been looking for a bass and amp set up. Seen some of the Fender and Ibanez packs, but not crazy about the amps that come with them.

Looking to keep the bass/amp set up <$500. What kind of decent amp set up can I get for around $200-250? I realize it won't shake my fillings loose, but I'd like a decent sound.

Thanks for the input.

Ken

In that price range, I'd go with a Peavey Minx (about $240 street price) and an Essex. http://www.rondomusic.bigstep.com/category.html?UCIDs=940496

Yeah, a peavy with a 10" driver would be decent. Also crate and behringer make small/medium sized combo amps for about that price.
