two fenders to be correct but i recently tried the ibanez at a guitar store and looked up some history on it.
i dont like the flat fret board to much, its flat and im not too comfortable on it. dont get me wrong its sounds great and all but just wanst my kind of bass. (but yes it still looks kick ahss)
a big downer for me is that they were no long made of swamp ash, but of light ash. and the tone doenst sound as full nemore, and the finish isnt near as nice as they used to be.
im still waiting to go try an EB-3 which what ill prolly end up getting neways. _________________ The few. The proud. The Bass players.

I agree about the "flatness" of the Ibanez fingerboard (I've got an '81 Roadster). But... according to the literature there that bass is a neck through with the swamp ash body..... might be worth finding in a local shop to play through. And as for the flatness of the fingerboard... I don't know how I stumbled into it, but if you rotate the bass down a little bit, and play with the neck a little more towards parallel to the ground (think Mudvayne) it seems to be a little more comfortable and playable.
Just my 2 cents.... _________________ --0--
