hi guys, i've just got my old westone st back (my kid bro has had his mitts on it for the last 3 years), I plugged it in to give it a bash but there is very little comming out( only when the amp is turned full on is it just about audible)

Any ideas as to what the little tykes done to it Mad ????

give the pickups a little cleaning job... maybe its the cable... maybe its just something as simple as the volume nob not turned up

Maybe the contact surface within the volume and tone pots are corroded or just plain worn?

I know it aint the lead and the volume pot " is " turned up!!!!!!
i think i'll have to get the soldering iron out and check for dry joints etc..

Would it work to bypass the pot's completely and hard wire the p/ups straight to the jackplug?????
