I bought one of the Saga Strat kits off ebay after reading alot of reviews, most of which gave the kit high remarks. I built it for my son and it really is a decent guitar, better than a mex strat, and according to the luthier I had do a set up on it, played better than 75% of whats out there.
Anyway, I have been looking at the only bass kit they make, a P-bass clone. Unlike the guitar kits which have lots of reviews, there are really no reviews of it out there on the web but if its like the strat kit it could be a great deal for the $ (@80 bucks off ebay usually). Anyone ever tried one of these or seen one that can give me some feedback? |

I have seen them. A buddy of mine messed with one before. He said it was cool to set up but he wasn't very impressed with the tone or feel. _________________ Sometimes we ride on your horses

| Did he say whether the neck was the same as a P-bass or was that the difference in the feel? I assumed if I got one of these one of the major changes would be to replace the pups to something better. I know from the strat kit the wood on these things are nice (unless they make the bass different) and the necks especially nice. I think regardless this would be beter than a squire P-clone but maybe I am wrong |
