i'm trying to figure out what the exact model name and story behind my bass is.. i know this much about it:
. it was made in the early-to-mid '90s
. says 'precision bass' on its slightly undersized headstock in a more modern font
. 4 string
. 1 j and 1 p pickup, active lace sensors
. 2 stacked black knobs - 4 total, pickup selector knob has a center detent
. no pickguard
. maple neck & fingerboard
. blue burst paint
. strap locks standard
any ideas as to the actual model name? anyone know how popular this model was? i haven't seen another like it.. here's a horrible picture:
any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!! |

I have no idea what to tell you about that. It sounds to me like someone took a P-Bass Deluxe and modded it with Lace Sensor active pickups.... but then again, almost all the P/J basses I know of have pickguards. I guess you can't read the serial number? Take it to a Fender dealer or repair shop and see what they say. I'm stumped. Anyone else? |
