I currently have a Basic Black and a Super Red Head with the Goliath Jr 4 ohm extension cabinet. I used to use an SM-400 head and triad cabinet. _________________ My life is based on a true story. |

Dude, you're as lucky as h.e.l.l. I can't afford a new rig, but if I could it would be SWR all the way. I'm digging on the 750X head. That puppy is sugar sweetness. Hopefully, it will be my next major purchase.
Gear I want:

| Ok, that's just wishful thinking. More likely, I'll just end up with a Black Beauty combo. Lovely. |

Huh? There's a forum for Ampeg. Dude, that was just stupid.
EDIT: Or is the original poster asking for any and all gear? I thought he just meant SWR. |

I'm using an SWR 350 Pro - Silverface, thru an Ampeg Classic 4x10.
I've got an Ampeg 350H solid state head too. |

Hi there I'm new round these parts and it seems like a pretty cool place. I spotted this SWR thread and had to make it my first stop.
At present I using the aforementioned 750x head into a Henry 8x8 cab. The head is awesome and any of you considering it should go demo one soon. I honestly don't think I'll get another head any time in the future (unless it blows up of course). I have bit of a power mis-match with the cab but there is no need to really crank it so all seems fine so far. Ideally I wanna get the Goliath senior 6x10.
Also for home and small gig stuff I have the workingman 10 and 1x10t ext cab. Its a great little amp and I run an Aphex exciter through it on gigs which makes it sound convincingly huge.
I love the SWR gear and think on the whole I have found my sound through using it. However I do have an Ampeg SVP-BSP pre-amp hidden away for those neccessary moments.
Anyways wanna know more about the amp just ask.
Cheers

My rig is a 350X, Workingmans 410 and Workingmans 115.
Best amp/cabinet I've ever had. |

| Anyone have any thoughts/experiences with the SWR Workingman's 4004 head? It looks like a good price and nice output head, but I can't find one to try out. I'm trying to find a good amp for straight-up slap bass. |

Ive never jammed a 2004, but my best slap amp was an old Acoustic 360 head... had a homemade 18" cab with a black widow driver & an Eden 4x10. they should still be at Wise music in Salinas, CA where I sold em if anyones interested... _________________ --==Warum tut es weh, wenn ich pinkele?==-- |

This is a great head. Not extremely powerful, but yet powerful enough to provide good loud sound. I use it with a gallien krueger 210RBH, 8ohm 400w. I like the sound of this combination, although I push the speaker pretty hard sometimes, this gk speaker is awsome.
