Has anyone gone to Nexus's site and seen any of the other basses they make?
They do have some very nice basses, but as with most customs, they are pretty high priced, and way out of my league!

I never understood the appeal of boutique basses. They're out of MOST people's league, which is why I don't feel the immediate connection I do to them as I do to good ole' Fender Ps.
I'm sure they're well-made and unique, but a lot of these luthiers seem like they deliberately make the weirdest instruments they possibly can. I never quite got that, but that's just me. |

I would love to own a 4 string, 24 fret mahogany neck through, ebony finger board, the pups based on a Gibson humbucker(one neck, one bridge) with an onboard fuzzface circuit...like this, but better...

i'm sorry but distortion on bass just sucks
I tried using my orange boss pedal, and aside from only getting one good setting that didn't feed back, NO VIBES AND WEAK SOUND!!!
bass pickups like mine are far to sensative and far to valuable to let something like distortion ruin it |

you cant use just any distortion on bass, most pedals make your bass sound like a chile fart... listen to Frank Zappas "Apostrophe", Grand Funk`s "Inside Lookin Out" or Creams "Sunshine of your Love"...even anything by Motorhead to feel the true power of nicly distorted bass... _________________ --==Warum tut es weh, wenn ich pinkele?==-- |

lol, whatever happened to a nice overdrive by cranking the gain on an amp??
as for the nexus being a waste of wood, i've seen a master of a seven string, and for those types of people, two more strings happen to be a gift from god |

jack bruce uses gain to distort the bass, as did felix pappalardi...lemmy use effects, not sure what. but its hard to get a decent distortion out of a solid state head... thats where pedals come in. _________________ --==Warum tut es weh, wenn ich pinkele?==-- |

)You can't use a guitar distortion for a bass. You need to be a bass distortion pedal (Or an EBO with a fuzz circuit ) _________________ Sometimes we ride on your horses
