Krist was as fond of weird Gibsons as Kurt was of weird Fenders. Don't laugh, but Krist was one of my favorite bass players and I think his tone is really cool.
I've seen him with Rippers, Thunderbirds, RDs (I think), and others. |

Nirvana is great but I am not big fans of the musicianship because the music is pretty basic and not much to it, but don't get me wrong I love Nirvana just as much as the next guy. Infact the first cd I ever bought was Bleach. _________________ Sometimes we ride on your horses

Why do musicians always say this? Musicians always like a band a lot but are reluctant to call themselves "fans" unless it's super-complicated. Who cares if it's simple? That doesn't lessen the impact of the music itself.
My favorite bands often share one trait - Cerebral lyrics and visceral music, not the other way around. Nirvana is a good example. |

All I am saying is that they just don't catch my ear. I happen to like music that challenges me more. _________________ Sometimes we ride on your horses

I'll agree, Krist Novoselic had great tone. He also played to the song, and didn't try to throw stuff in there that wasn't necessary, so the bass parts in any Nirvana song really shine through.
Had it been any other bassist, the course of history may have been completely different...just a thought! _________________
