| lol, i like minor adjustments to be done by professionals anyways. lol, tell me, do you think i'll have the perfect rock and slap bass if i took my p-deluxe and got some new duncan pups in them, and then got a graphite neck slapped in it?? |

Wow, that sounds pricey. Replacing pickups is one thing, but the neck would cost a lot and you probably shouldn't do it yourself.
As for the perfect slap bass, you would have to decide what sound you're going for and then choose pickups based on that. Personally, I think most slappers (like Flea) get most of their tone from their fingers. Practice for a long long time and your tone will improve even more than if you get new pups. |

| yea, it's wierd nowadays. i still know how to slap and i do it sometimes, but it doesn't sound like the FUNK slap that i used to know |

| but then again, yea, i still played with my fingers, and now i play rarely with fingers, more with a pick. it's not slap, it's just what i'm doing on pick is so much faster. any slapping advice? |
