Sorry, can't get pics up, I don't have a website and am too lazy to set one up for that. It's in great condition and the picture at the beginning of this thread doesn't do it justice. Any idea what these are going for?

I have been listening to Maidens "Brave New World" recently and I just love the way Harris sounds on that album. The bass is front and center and just has an awesome clunking heavy sound, the way matel bass should sound. I need to get that sound (or close to it) somehow even if I cant play like Harris, I guess its time to start looking for one of these Sig models myself and move on from the Ibanez. The more I listen to Harris (and I have been listening to hims since 81') the more the guy amazes me, he just has a style I like and a great sound.

If you can't get the sig, at least get something with really thick tone (ie, a Fender P-pickup). It's possible to approximate the Harris sound without getting a Harris sig. My P/J does it QUITE nicely. If you're looking for pickup recommendations, both Steve and myself use Duncan Quarter Pounders in the P-spot.

I just watched one of these harris signature models I was interested in close on ebay at $650, more than I expected.

Sig. models are usually pretty pricey. 650 is actually reasonable for a sig. Like I said, you could wait for a cheaper Harris model to come up or you could grab your own P-bass and mod it with hotter pickups. I read a review online that says "Very loud! Sounds like a P-bass with more meat!" I thought the exact same thing when I put my own QP in.
