My first combo was an Ampeg B100R ( I think thats the model number). It was only around 400 bucks, nice amp. Not loud enough for a loud rock band, but a great amp.

Ampegs are great combos too. Are you looking for a practice amp? I saw the Mesa combo in their catalog.

I've heard good things about the SWR 2x10c, but also check out the Peavey Bam 210. Trace Elliot also has some good 410 combos so check them out as well.
