I've played some Ibanez and I think that they're pretty good basses if you wanna play rock. I'd get one just to play rock. Anyways I need a rock bass to fill in what my Fender Jazz can't do (although it's pretty kickass after installing the on-board preamp).

I picked rock, too. Although, in fairness, there's not a lot that a Jazz bass can't do.

I like Soundgears... very comfortable and very cool tone.

My teacher plays a soundgear (6-string) and his is also great for jazz and slap. I gets a much more versatil tone. Of course they tend to be more expensive.

It's cool... I know you were kidding. Cool Ibanez basses are really quality instruments, especially if you get up towards the "Prestige" line. Those things are really impressive.... they come with Bartolinis stock.

Just for gibso I've added the poll option of "Firewood." Maybe that lacker will make a nice aromatherpy scent while burning. Just kidding, I think Ibanez basses are great!

Wink
I actually thinkl that ibanez basses have mostly been designed and thought for every rock music and it influences; however, Ibanez did a really good job with some very versatile basses-> just have to think of Gary Willis's for example.
i have a BTB515 Ibanez bass, and it sound very smooth compared to most ibanez basses; it sound like a piano, especially when i play fingerstyle arpegious in high notes...
