*hhmm.....* I'm not so sure about that. Don't get me wrong, I'm a vintage tone buff, but I hate to descriminate and I hate to be a purist. Especially since the Ps that have come since the CBS buyout have had their ups as well as their downs.

dammit gibby you and your cat tacos poluting(sp?) our fender area lol jk
a friend of mine has a P bass that is very old late 50's i believe and it sounded so glorious i dont think any other P bass could sound better.

I like the late-50s models a lot, but the early 50s ones look terrible and have that boxy Tele body I'm not crazy about. I like the contoured, Strat-shape much more.

i like the ones from the 90s that are like the p deluxe
those thinks just kick the *Poop* right out of your freakin *Horse's Patoot*, and gives a sound desirable for every genra
