If it wasn't for Motorhead, thrash wouldn't exist. You'll never meet a dude who personifies how cool playing a Ric for thirty years can be more than Lemmy.

Yeah, Lemmy is great. I had the pleasure of meeting him when Motorhead last came to St.Louis. His bass is awsome. Check out his signature bass at rickenbacker.com. It is one of the most beautiful basses I have ever seen.

No doubt. One of the coolest things I've ever seen at the Hard Rock Cafe.... an original Ric owned and signed by Lemmy himself.

Next year (2005) Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister will celebrate his 60th birthday, I think it would be a good idea if BassDogs.com made an event out of this.

This could be done by setting up a Bassist's hall of fame & inducting Lemmy into it.

This could continue by letting members vote for deserving Bassists to be inducted into the hall of fame every six months or so.

Alternatively BassDogs.com could profile Lemmy's career from his days in The Rockin' Vicars to Hawkwind to the many line-ups of Motorhead.

Lemmy has been responsible for making some of the best Thrash & Speed Metal music ever heard.

He is a legend among Punks & Metalheads alike.I'm sure that alot of the members of this site will back me up when I say that he is truly deserving of being honoured by a dedicated Bassist's site.

After all without Lemmy no one would ever have Started playing Fast Bass,Distorted,With a pick.

LEMMY IS THE KING
