I have been recently practising with my group-of-friends-with-instruments (i wouldn't call us a band...yet). A drummer, who is great, a guitarist, and me. I love to play funk, and find it heart-wrenching, very emotional, to tear myself away from slap, however, our new tune, entitled 'Carlos': guitar chords run along the simple lines of.. E A E A during a verse and a B C B G chorus. There's also a bridge in there but i have an ok line for that. I have been playing something along the lines of:
