Does anyone here have a recommended book for teaching/practicing improvisation on bass? I can read fine, and solo to a basic level, but would like to get better! I play bass in a big band and occasionally do a few dixieland gigs, when I get the chance I do take a solo, but am always nervous as it is a rare thing!
As a side note I may invest in this as well http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00007D5JQ/002-3179549-9944844?v=glance#product-details |

Thanks, I think they have everything covered, and they ship to the UK! All I have to do now is spend some time looking throught their catalogue.
As a note to others, remove the last fullstop from the link or you get a web host company |
