im not sure where to put this but i think this will work, i read about bass player playing through a guitar amp into a cab or something like that. can someone tell me how exactly this is done?

supposedly the general theory was started by entwistle of the who, who spread the lows into giant bass cabinets connected to bass heads and for the highs probably used a guitar amp with a guitar cab to use as a tweeter. anyways, just get a cab witha tweeter, maybe a couple anilog effects and ur set, don't bother messing around for no reason

Good idea. If you send to many lows to a speaker not designed for it (ie, a guitar speaker), you could blow it out quick.

There are a lot of wild ways to hook up a bass system, and I've used AB boxes and Y adapters to run the highs through the effects, and still have a good full bass tone filling in like a bass should using two different rigs together.
Check out Amy's bass set up for Clatter, which is a band with only a bassist and a drummer , that is doing pretty well these days.
Weird stuff, but definitely a different sounding band! #Silly

thanx bass maniac you cleared that up for me really well. looks like it will sound pretty kool i unfortunatly no longer have the resouces to try it but im going to have to check out this band "clatter"
