Awww, I'm sorry. Sad I'd take you if I could Mr. Green

I've missed concerts that I've wanted to see. I'm still kicking myself for missing Weezer two years ago. And I had to miss Lollapalooza this summer, and THAT'S the worst. Anyway, SY is an awesome band.... you'd definitely like them if you're into the whole indie scene. I listen to a lot of that stuff.... Violent Femmes, Pavement, Television, Elvis Costello... bands like that.

BTW - Your band sounds awesome! Very Happy Do you write at all? I'm a songwriter/lyricist kinda guy. I consider myself more of a "troubadour" than solely a bass player. I'll listen to the rest of the songs soon and let you know what I think.... so far they're really cool. Cool

I saw Weezer back in the summer of 1996 with No Doubt. It rocked!! It was my first rock concert. I am hoping that when I go home at lunch today, my SY and pixies albums are waiting for me in the mailbox. Can't wait to hear them. I will definitely start with SY though. I love the stuff they have on their site, sonicyouth.com, from Murray St. Very good stuff.

Thanks for checking out our music. I don't write anything. I try, but it doesn't come out good. Always very cliche. I would love to be able to write better though. I write my basslines and sometimes help with the arrangements and form, but that is it. I don't mind it though.

Hope you enjoy your new music. Cool Usually when I write, I start with a theme or idea and expand on that. I don't have one definite method because I write so much that I find myself adapting to whatever style I'm using. It's cool you write music.... bass players always make good arrangers. Usually because we listen to the music as a whole. As John Paul Jones once said, "We're like little producers at the back of the stage".

I guess you would describe our music as indie rock sometimes and others times just rock, very melodic.

ENJOY!!!

I played a VA once. I liked it. There were a lot of tonal options because of the active electronics and pickup switces. It looked cool too. My gripes were the excessive weight and the neck - it was too wide and thin. And for some reason it felt like the edges were not "rolled", they felt sharp and it was harder to reach around to the E string. If memory serves right it was about $500-600, which i thought was probably too much, but i guess i was wrong!

Selling my Gibson Victory Bass!
it's a great bass just too heavy for gigs now that my back is older than dirt!

Mine is a Standard Just like "Laura's"

Looks better on her, than it does on me. Laughing
