Dudes, I strayed from my sweetheart...I gigged lastnight with a Musicman...Holy crap my shoulder hurts today! Just another reason that Gibsons are superior- they`re light! (for the most part...) Twisted Evil

I had a Stingray about a year ago before I traded it in. I loved that bass and I miss it. I don't mind the weight. Nothing I've played weighs more than my Gibson RD anyway.

Here's my old Stingray. I'm in a Halloween get-up in this shot. The Stingray had a custom PU configuration - an EMG P and J instead of the humbucker.

*Holy Censor, Batman* mau, were you playing outside? You must've been crazy hot in that getup if you were indoors.

That was indoors. It WAS hot, but it looks cool too so I had to suffer a bit. It's fun to pretend your someone else on Halloween.

Yeah I find my new EBO to be at least half the weight of my other basses. I love it. I guess you could call me a Gibson convert now.(Although my favorites are still Rickenbacker)

Don't feel guilty for also loving a Sting Ray. They're hard instruments to hate. They have SO much going for them.

And only girly men complain about their instrument's weight. Wink Give me a 34 inch scale or give me death! I'll play a slab of granite and walk away smiling if it sounds good. GRRR! I can feel the testosterone coursing through my veins!

Hey when you play 3-4 hour gigs weight becomes an issue. I don't care who you are.

Who plays 3 to 4 hour gigs? The Dead? I've played in front of crowds for an hour, tops.
