yo sup everybody just joined the chat and i was wonderin...me and my friends just started a band and they are gettin on to me about playin my bass the way i do. i play with one finger instead of two and it sounds better and everything like that so i was just wonderin if yall could help me out here?

should i keep playin with one or try and practice with two???

Definately go for two. You'll be able to paly much faster and eventually get better sound.

yo i gots another question about something. if i use a pic is it a bad thing to get a thinner pic when i'm trying to use it for speed......cause when i use thick pics i can't strum it up and down like i want to......my friend says it makes the bass sound bad but it makes it sound sharper. if he means that click sound when i pluck the string with the pic then i thought well if we were actually don't u think that the pic click would be drowned out by the lead drums and singing??????

neways i was just wonderin if any of u are goin through the same thing

I was just tryin' to remember when I started using my third finger in plucking the strings, and I think it was when I started learning to do triplets. It seemed like a natural thing to do to use 3 to do that, and it stuck.
