| Personally, I LOVE SWRs. I've been a fan for a long time, but I've never owned one before. How do they stand the test of time? Anyone else here a fan? |

After spilling my SVT head on 18th street in DC after a drunken load-out it became apparent that I needed a backup. So I picked up a floor model SWR 350 Pro. It's fat, round, and warm and I absolutely love it. I actually think it sounds better than my Ampeg did.
I've been gigging with it for almost a year with no issues. Love it. My SVT was (is) the solid state 350H. The spill cracked the circuit board so now it's *Golly Gee*. It still works, just not reliably. Stupid mistake. We were rolling the cab and the head together across a busy street and just lost it! Oops.
It was like watching an innocent little baby hit the pavement. I got over it though. Anyway, I highly recommend SWR. A friend of mine had a SWR WorkingMans 200W head and a 4x10 that sounded great too, and that's pretty inexpensive gear. |

| Actually, I might want to sell the SVT head. It a solid state 350H like I stated above. But I might want to get it fixed too. I don't really know. It's not that I really need the money right now. |

I do a little electronic work here & there...A cracked board is a pain in the *Horse's Patoot*, but very fixable as long as its not too bad...If ya decide ya wanna pass it on, lemme know! _________________ --==Warum tut es weh, wenn ich pinkele?==-- |

| I think SWR is great, but over priced. And Ampeg's B series puts the Workingman seires to shame. |

I love SWR amps. I have been using them almost 15 years. I currently have an old Basic Black, and a new Super Red Head with a 210 Goliath Jr. extension cabinet. I love the tone. I like a bright tone, and I have yet to find any amp that even comes close. _________________ My life is based on a true story. |
