ok, at time of purchase i couldn't afford a MM stingray so instead i got an OLP which i'm pleased with. i've been thinking of putting a Basslines MM pickup in it and also an Aguilar pre amp. would this kinda get me the whole flea sound?

I don't know about the "Flea sound" but it would certainly improve your tone 100%. Basslines are great pickups. Excellent choice.

I think the Flea tone is as much about how he plays as it is what instrument he plays.
