| I played a Blackbird at MARS a year ago and unfortunately this one was set-up like crap. It turned me off a bit. But it looks cool as *Poop*. |

The only Gibson I have is my old EBO I defretted, and it's a nice sounding short scale, and sounds even better with the fretless tones I can get from it now. |

I think you'll have a tough time finding one in just any store. On ebay search "Gibson RD" and you'll find some.
There's the RD ARTIST - active Moog electronics
and the RD STANDARD - passive
The ARTIST is more common.
I've seen some on ebay this last week. They are getting more expensive.
all I can tell you about it is that it's very heavy, and it's a longer neck than you are probably used to, and it makes people look at you because it's different. it sounds great and it holds intonation extremely well, unlike my Fender P. |

| I might have to sell something. I'd like to have a pair of RD's. That would be so cool. |

| The thing is that my parents aren't gunna let me get a new bass until at least a year after I've started playing. Maybe I could talk them into it for a birthday present that I pay for? |
